waterlogged

Ka-ching? Nope. Talk about taking a hit where it hurts. Mother nature is playing havoc all over North America right now and a great deal of Olympic events are feeling the pinch. Hoping for some decent weather Vancouver has had to issue a number of rain checks and full refunds for cancelled or delayed events.

The events will go ahead, but Tuesday's announcement means a total 28,000 tickets in the venue have been eliminated, causing a $1.5-million hit to VANOC ticket revenues. The tickets cost between $50 and $65.

Vancouver isn't alone. Hong Kong's Chinese New Year festivities have been rained out and Washington is a white wonderland, shutting down all government buildings.
