National Pride

Glow in the Dark Stamps

A kid's delight! Malaysia issued a limited edition of glow in the dark stamps to enhance the public's knowledge of nature in their country. Printed in two stages, one with the actual stamp and then the second time with a coat of special ink to illuminate the unique nocturnal animals.

The Chocolate Stamp

Famed for their chocolate, Switzerland (May 9th 2001) issued a block of stamps that resembles a Cadbury bar. Releasing the sweet aroma of chocolate this must have been an instant seller.

The Coffee Bean Stamp

Vancouver/Seattle natives must love this. Like the Suisse, Brazil launched a set of stamps that used microcapsules full of liquid coffee aroma mixed with clear varnish to imprint their national bean with the roasted smell of fresh coffee. .
