Peeking up over the horizon is Sylvain Chomet's next animated film The Illusionist (2010, don't mix it up with the Edward Norton one in 2006). The British-French animated film done in the same style of his first feature-length animated project, Triplettes de Belleville, it is based on an unproduced script by Jacques Tati in collaboration with Henri Marquet between Mon Oncle and Playtime. Described as more of a story of the relationship between a father and his estranged daughter than a romantic tale, you can bet it'll be less saccharine than most animated fare.
It looks fantastic.
